At CBERUS, we use a simple and transparent grading system to help you understand the condition of the collectibles and trading cards we sell. Items are assessed before being listed, and any known flaws or notable imperfections should be described in the product listing.
Condition grading is subjective and represents our assessment of an item's overall condition. We always recommend reviewing product photos alongside the condition grade before making a purchase.
Collectibles Condition Grading
Our general grading system is used for figures, statues and other applicable collectibles. Trading cards are assessed separately using the card grading guide below.
Mint
Like new, with minimal to no signs of wear.
- Excellent overall condition
- Very little or no visible cosmetic wear
- Fully functional where applicable
- Ideal for collectors seeking the best available condition
Near Mint
Light signs of use, fully functional where applicable.
- Minor cosmetic wear may be present
- Light scratches, marks or handling signs possible
- Well-maintained overall condition
- A great balance between condition and value
Played
Visible wear from previous handling or use.
- Noticeable cosmetic wear may be present
- Scratches, scuffs, marks or packaging wear may be visible
- Any known functional issues will be stated in the product description
- Suitable for customers prioritising value over cosmetic condition
Damaged / For Parts
Items with significant damage or defects, or items sold for repair or parts where applicable.
- Significant damage, defects or missing parts may be present
- Known damage and defects will be described in the listing
- May require repair, restoration or replacement parts
- Please review the product description and photographs carefully before purchasing
Trading Card Grading
Individual trading cards are assessed separately using the following grading scale. Card condition can vary, so please review all available photographs before purchasing.
Mint
- Exceptional overall condition
- Sharp corners and edges
- Clean surface with little to no visible imperfections
Near Mint
- Minor signs of handling or storage may be present
- Small imperfections may be visible upon close inspection
- Strong overall presentation
Played
- Visible signs of use or handling
- Edge wear, surface wear, whitening, scratches or other imperfections may be present
- Suitable for collection, gameplay or binder storage, depending on condition
